Fantasy Basketball

Anyone into fantasy basketball? I have a league drafting the 23rd, looking for a few people. :) If you have any interest, please e-mail. Thanks.

“If Jay Comin’ Back, Then the World Need Puff…”

If you know much about me, you know I’m a huge Diddy fan. He’s set to release 4th album on October 17 and I am definitely looking forward to it. I’m not sure how many copies I’ll buy – as many as it takes to get all of the exclusives. I already have copies pre-ordered from iTunes (bonus track) and Best Buy (also bonus track). Yeah, yeah, I know. :)

Anyway, you can listen to the album at MTV’s The Leak (minus exclusives). It’s different, but I’m digging it. You can also listen to one of the excludes, “Get Off” at Bad Boy Blog in addition to the remix of “Come to Me.”

I’m also looking forward to Jay-Z’s upcoming album, which is slated for release on my birthday. And Nas’ album, for that matter, which is coming in December.

Google News Qualifications

Over the past couple years, I have submitted 4 sites to Google News and I have been rejected every time. But, at least when they reject, they provide some sort of reason. I thought I’d post all of the reasons they gave me. Maybe they’ll help someone get in.

In April 2005, they told me that they couldn’t accept WebDevReviews.com because they couldn’t crawl my articles. They said that in order to be crawled, my URLs needed to contain at least 3 digits.

In August 2005, they told me that YanksBlog.com was rejected because they only accept sites that have news articles that are reporting on current events. This one confused me because that is probably 95% of the content on the site.

In October 2005, they rejected MicrosoftBlog.com without reason.

This month, they rejected Bad Boy Blog because they don’t accept sites that are written and maintained by individuals. This one confused me, as well, but there you have it.

Hopefully this will be of some sort of use to someone. :)

Was I Mentioned in Some Sort of E-Mail Newsletter?

I was just noticing that I have been receiving a number of visitors today from Yahoo!, Google and Windows Live mail accounts. Not sure if I was mentioned in some newsletter or something? :)
