After listening to it all, here are my top 5 favorites:
1. It Has Been Said featuring Diddy, Eminem and Obie Trice.
2. Whatchu Want featuring Jay-Z and Diddy.
3. Living In Pain featuring 2Pac, Nas and Mary J. Blige.
4. Nasty Girl featuring Diddy, Nelly, Jagged Edge and Jazze Pha.
5. Beef featuring Mobb Deep and Diddy.
Just a Memory featuring The Clipse and Diddy.
Hold Ya Head featuring Bob Marley.
1970 Somethin’ featuring Game and Faith Evans.
The thing is, even the tracks I didn’t love, I still liked. Spit Your Game, Wake Up Now and Hustler’s Story are all listenable tracks and the rest are fine as well. Put it this way: they’ll all be in my playlist, which means I really like the album. I look forward to getting it.
You can listen to it over at Warner Urban, along with 5 other tracks and the Hold Ya Head video. Really looking forward to this album. I’ve liked a great deal of what I have heard.
While I was doing some reading at Mena Trott’s blog, I came across this post and watched the video.
He seemed like a nice enough guy and the advice he gave was good, common sense advice, certainly. But, one of the things he said was “kids are naive and, to be real frank about it, they’re dumb as mud sometimes.” No arguments here. Sometimes, they are. Of course, adults (18 through 200) are naive and dumb as mud sometimes, as well. What Mrs. Trott said was good, as well.
It’s like anything else. People kill people. People are nuts. So, by extension: people who blog kill people and/or are nuts. But, people who don’t blog kill people and/or are nuts. It’s like what some people would say about homeschooling, which is bogus. People who homeschool kill people and are nuts. But, people who don’t homeschool kill people and are nuts. Our population does it – as such, people from all walks and of all interests do it.
According to AllHipHop.com:
“What he did was sweet. He came back [with his offer] and I almost jumped out my seat,” Styles P said to Angie Martinez. “Basically, he gave us all our publishing back. He didn’t have to do what he did. In the business world, what he did, was like a four-leaf clover. The results was great.”
You’re kidding me. After they get on the radio, make a big deal out of something that they themself did and are to blame for, made it out like he was getting more than he was getting, that he was not being fair, threatening his life (Jadakiss was and anyone can see that), etc. etc…. they come back with this?! You’re kidding me. “He didn’t have to do it.” LOL, what were you on the radio kicking up dust for? On the radio, they made it like he had to do it. Like he was a crook if he didn’t. Hilarious. In my opinion, they come out of this looking very, very bad.
I doubt he just gave it to them, but if he did… The Lox are the luckiest people on the face of the earth. I had one of my stocks go out of business – I don’t remember them giving me my money back.
By the way, check out Hot 97. The day they were bashing Diddy and Diddy responded, etc. they had the interviews up within like an hour or so, I think. Where’s the interview today where they make have come to an agreement? No where. Perfect example. Diddy was right (and it’s common sense): it is like WWF.
