Yanks get RJ (Hopefully)

ESPN is reporting that the Yankees have acquired Randy Johnson in exchange for Javier Vazquez, Brad Halsey, Dioner Navarro and $8.5 to $9 million.

Hopefully it gets done. Although I am sorry to see Javy go, I am excited to see Randy in pinstripes. If it happens, we just need to trade for Junior Griffey to reunite the Seattle 3.

I too am excited to see RJ in pinstripes
pitching against Boston on opening day.

Long term I think this deal hurts the Yankees. Javy will prove to be an excellent pitcher, most likely for Baltimore. Navarro is the next Georgie, imo.

Yeah, you never know. I'm not crazy about losing Javy. I like the guy. I thought Halsey could be something and with prospects, who knows. Could be something good.

Like Cashman said though, it is kind of a historic opportunity and all.
