Hey Patrick,

Yep, I know it's less...this is also a replacement for a defective dv9000 that I had to return...had the 1440X900 resolution, found myself wishing for more. With the large screen on these laptops it started to feel small. Especially with working on things like Photoshop, etc. Have fun with your new tools! :-)

Hey James,

Thanks. And cool, that's awesome! So glad that I could point that out to you. It really is a great coupon and that's a huge chunk of money. The coupon saved me $995.40 on the desktop and $944.10 on the laptop. So, some serious money. I also picked up a leather case for the laptop and a UPS for the desktop.

The larger screen resolution is actually $75 cheaper. I ended up going with the more expensive one just because it's supposed to offer a better screen quality and (really) because of the coupon, which made me want to max out everything, which is basically what I ended up doing.

Congrats on your new system, as well!

Congrats Patrick,

Funny part of it was I had almost the identical setup (for the laptop) in my shopping cart at HP was going to purchase within the week. Didn't know about the 30% coupon so THANKS for that, saved me $750! I think the only differences is that I upped my screen to the larger resolution version, skipped the TV tuner, and picked up the port replicator that they had on sale.

Take care, and congrats again on the new setups!
