Thanks for the comments.

I appreciate the offer, Donna. But, I am looking to stay on my own domain independent of Gmail in Outlook Express or similar. I know that Gmail allows you to use your own domain. I'm messing with SpamAssassin at the moment. :)

Hi Patrick
I use gmail - it picks up a lot of spam, giving you option to look at it and flag something as "not spam" which it will remember. A bit of spam still gets through, but you can flag anything as "spam" as well.

You never have to throw anything away because you get some huge (currently something like 2.7GB) and ever-increasing storage allowance.

You get choices to collect your email through a pop client, forward it to another email address. Of course you can have your current email address set up to forward to gmail and hopefully get caught in the spam filters.

I'm sure the google spam filter learns from the collective intelligence of user what is spam, as well as actively refining their algorithms to make the spam filter more accurate.

Gmail is by invitation - I'm happy to give you one if you like. Just email me and ask :) miller.donna AT gmail DOT com
