Probably not the best idea to have a guy thinking about that/trying to adjust 2 minutes before going on. But, going forward, yeah. Something to work on.

Shouldn't Mel take some of the blame??

"I know his location was bad, you don't see him walk three guys," Mel Stottlemyre said. "He was throwing uphill. His mechanics weren't real good."

Or even the bullpen coach? If he is up warming up and throwing and they think his mechanics are bad, why do they make the decision to put him in?

Torre should have taken Mo out after the big A-Rod error.

I agree Patrick. The error was so big in that if A-Rod caught it – game over.

Not that big a deal. It’s life. People strike out. People blow saves. When you face a guy so many times, you can get a feel for his greatness, like any great pitcher or player. He’ll always be the Rivera I remember. :)

What is it now? Four blown saves in a row to the Red Sox. Wow. Not the Rivera I once remember. :s
