April Fools Around the Web

A quick recap of the April Fools jokes that caught my eye:

- HomestarRunner.com went to a pay model.
- MuggleNet.com was shut down by J.K. Rowling.
- Google announced their new drink, Google Gulp.
- Some of the SitePoint Forums staff switched around their avatars.
- The Leaky Cauldron was taken over by Peeves.
- Vinnie made it so that his text was displayed back wards.
- The staff of KarateForums.com wrote an article discussing their real life experiences with Ki.
- Blogs for Bush endorsed Hilary.
- phpBBHacks.com announced plans to prevent users from asking for help with downloads that are not listed in the phpBBHacks.com database.
- Ask Jeeves announced the future of search: Jeeves9000.
- WebHostingTalk closed registrations indefinitely citing too much activity (or so I am told).

So, a productive day. :)
