We’ll see if Randy Johnson is able to help that ailling Yankees’ pitching staff once April rolls around. I for one, think he’s one year too late to be a successful Yankee.
It doesn’t really matter to me if/that it is digitally produced. I don’t make guarantees. Especially in baseball. I always say that nothing is guaranteed. This is baseball.
All you can do is put the best team on the field that you can.
If Randy Johnson is slowing down, last year certainly produced no evidence of that. He has seemed to get better with age. Not any old 40-something can pitch a perfect game.
If they get Johnson and Beltran then what’s the point of having any other teams? They already have a ton of big time hitters and now they’re upping the pitching staff. I guess if you have the money, go for it.
Let’s not get over dramatic. :D The point of having other teams is that this is baseball. You can only put the best team you can on the field, then they have to go out and play the games. In the course of playing the games, much can happen.
Patrick is correct with his "nothing is guaranteed" in baseball comment. It’s so true.
No offseason moves will guarantee a team anything. Even for the big market Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, etc., they can’t buy pennents or Championships with cash.
We’ve seen it over the past four years with the Yankees not winning and the Mets playing terrible, despite huge payrolls.
The winning occurs on the field, not in contract negotiations. :)
Actually, there has been 5 winners in the past 5 years. Yankees, Diamondbacks, Angels, Marlins, Red Sox. Not that I care about parity. If the same team wins 10 years in a row, it means that they won 10 years in a row, nothing else. I have nothing against dynasties.

That image is clearly digitally produced.

I think there’s more parity in baseball than the media is willing to give credit. Four different teams have won the WS in the last four years.
Yeah, baseball really isn’t that badly off.
