Comment Spam
Chris told me last night that he had pulled his comments link because he was getting comment spam. This was the first I had heard of comment spam on Nucleus. So, I thought… don’t be surprised if it happens to me.
As if on cue, when I got on my PC this morning, I saw 20 spam comments had been made. Starting with entry 1 and going up. 1, 2, 3, etc. They had only gotten to 20. So I was just in time. I got to work. Upgraded Nucleus to the latest version and installed the Blacklist and CommentControl plugins. They worked. And I deleted the entries really easily from the comments section in Nucleus’ admin area. Then my other friend Chris sent me an IM saying he had gotten hit, too. ‘Tis the season!
So, if any of you are Nucleus users, I suggest getting those installed. At the very least, the blacklist. I will probably disable the comment control thing as it moderates comments and I don’t know if I need that. But, I’ll keep it around, just incase!

Do you reckon comment spam is a sign that your blog is becoming more and more popular?

No.
My traffic stats disprove that theory REAL quick.
