Stupid Phone

We have a stupid phone.

Well, not completely. We’ve had it for several years. It has many features. Multiple mailboxes, blah blah blah. It’s a good phone, it’s been durable. It has a speaker and it has a mic. You record the answering machine message on the mic.

But, it is odd – it doesn’t have speaker phone. You can press the “Monitor” button and hear the person on the other end through the speaker, but you can’t talk to them. It makes no sense. It has a speaker, it as a mic – who didn’t put them together? Strange.
